Welcome to the website of the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis (L.E.M.M.) of University of Patras.

The Laboratory of Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis was founded in 1974 and administratively belongs to the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

Director and staff are responsible for the laboratory operation. Director tenure is three years whereas staff members have annual contract with the University of Patras.

Alongside a Planning and an Advisory Committee participate to the laboratory services. The first consists of a faculty member from each Department of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The second consists of the Planning Commission extended with a representative from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Medicine. The membership of each committee member lasts three years.

The Laboratory aims to become a contemporary center of electron microscopy and instrumental analysis, which will provide high quality services to the University community and to external users.
